Chance (Male, age 5)

I am a very energetic and happy little Sheltie boy who loves to run and play! I came from a townhome without a fenced yard and wasn't quite so happy. TSR has agreed to find me a new home where I can be your loyal and very loving companion, but also have room to run. I can only go to a home with a fenced yard and would probably really like it if you wanted to help me become an agility dog. I didn't know about living with other dogs (or cats) before arriving at my foster home, but I love it now. I would especially enjoy having another dog who wants to play with me! In the interest of full disclosure, I have to tell you that I also love to sleep with you if you're interested, I like to bark at the mailman and anyone else who comes to the door, but I also bark at new people and I sometimes scare children. Once I know the new people, I'm fine, but they have to be patient with me. One habit that my foster parents think is very unusual is that I like to stand in my water bowl. They say this can be kind of messy, so it might be best if I have a bowl on legs that I can't wash my feet in, or you'll be cleaning it out a lot. Otherwise, I'm a great little guy and my foster parents say I better get adopted fast or I'll end up staying where I am. I kind of make you love me really fast!
<datePosted>2/2/2012</datePosted>

Dandy (Male, age Estimated 10)

Thank you to everyone who contributed to help me have an echocardiogram done. TED now has better information to tweek my medicines. I didn't understand all the high tech terms he talked with my tempmom about, but I think I'm on the road to feeling better already and I've actually gained two pounds. He came to us very emaciated and needs to gain at least four pounds.

I may look like a senior citizen but I still have my full coat and youthful attitude. My long distance jogging (I was found as a stray) really took the weight off me, but my TSR friends are helping me gain my ideal body weight. My coat has a great start on being bi-color handsome, and dont you think the touches of grey around my eyes just make me look more distinguished!

Im very content at my foster home with a couple of canine playmates, and I am learning quickly how to cope with crates, cars, vets, and baths. I would make someone a darling companion, and would love just being beside you in the cool house. I know how to sit and lie down if I can see there is a tasty treat on hand. Im still feeling a little insecure, so I like it best when you go on regular walks with me. If you leave me in the house or yard where I cant see you, I will certainly keep calling for you or leave you a little present. So this could be the start of a beautiful friendship, if youre willing to share your life with me.

Ginger (Female, age 12)

Thank you for the green papers to help with my treatment.
I'm a sweetheart Sheltie in need of a new home where I can brighten your days. My former owners said I'm 12, but my foster mom has a hard time believing that because I act so young. I wasn't used to living with other dogs before coming to TSR, but I'm fine with it now. I even know how to ignore the cat. My hair is growing back from recent surgery and it should be gorgeous again soon. My favorite things to do include eat, play, eat, sleep, eat, keep you company, and eat. I'm a bit of a chow hound, but that's ok because I need to gain a couple of pounds. During the days when my foster mom is working at home, I lay at her feet by the desk for as long as she'll let me. I don't like to be left alone in the yard and will promptly return to the door after taking care of business waiting for you let me in. I love to sleep with you if you're interested, but I can be happy on my own bed, too. I hope you'll consider giving me a new home. I promise to be a loyal and loving girl and to follow you everywhere!
<datePosted>12/15/2010</datePosted>

I thought I better get my picture taken cause I've heard a rumor that I'm probably going to get shaved. I have huge mats everwhere, that's what happens when you're on the run for a while.
<datePosted>8/8/2011</datePosted>

Mr. Bailey (Male, age 7)

**Mr. Bailey's adoptive family must have a completely fenced yard** I would like being the only dog in your family, I do get along with other Shelties. I'm okay with cats. LOVE to sit on the couch with you!! I really like to ride in the car, I'll be your co-pilot if you let me. I'm allergic to lots of things and really don't like being outside for extended periods of time, so if you like to walk, I'm not the right choice for you. I love to play fetch with my toys and will bring them to you so you can throw and I can fetch them again.
<datePosted>4/8/2011</datePosted>

Piper (Female, age 8/2/05 - 6)

My recent life changes have introduced me to a couple different family types and I think that I prefer keeping a single person company. I also want to be your only four legged pet. I don't really like being outside unless you are with me so we can spend more time together. Piper's new home needs to have a fenced yard for her security.
