2002 Parade of Rescue

Wow! Thanks to everyone who came out to the parade on November
10. We really like visiting with our adoptive families, and especially the dogs!
This year's parade was almost foiled by rain, but the rain stopped just in time
for us to go on.

We'd also like to thank the Triangle Shetland Sheepdog Club for allowing us
to have the parade during their Specialty. This is the third year that we have
had the parade during the Specialty. We raised over $2,000 for TSR from
merchandise and raffle ticket sales and from serving lunch both days. Steven
Hess was the winner of the sheltie quilt, and Laura Dixon-Conley won the gold
sheltie pendant.
Also, we had a mini-reunion of all the double merle shelties that we have
worked with. We think that these are the most special of shelties and are all
wonderful pets.
