For her generous donation in memory of Sparkie, her beloved pet and friend, we wish to thank Lisa Leone. Lisa has fond memories of Sparkie. He filled her life with joy and will never be forgotten. Lisa's contribution will be used to help TSR obtain medical treatment and find forever loving homes for shelties that come into our care as the Sparkie Memorial Fund. Sparkie, short for Sparticus, was an angel in my life. He was unconditionally loving at every moment of every day. He was silly when the snow fell, always barking and hopping no matter how deep. His ability to communicate with me came with a light tap of his paw and a low whine or a nudge in my ribs if I were sleeping. Sparkie traveled everywhere with me. On the rare occasion that I left him home, he would empty every wastepaper basket in the house and carry the contents piece by piece, leaving them beside my bed! Needless to say, he got his point across. Sparkie, although I no longer hear your bark or see the sparkle in your eye, I feel your presence constantly and I love you, my boy.
