Murphy was adopted by Lori Krombos of Sanford, NC.

Lori writes:

Hi! I am Murphy Krombos, and I am one of Triangle Sheltie Rescue's 2001 success stories. My new mom, Lori Krombos started out as my foster mom, and then formally adopted me in April. When Mom brought me home, I had a few nasty parasites that had to be treated, but I've been great ever since, and Mom says I bring so much joy and laughter that she can't believe anyone could have let me go.

As you can see, I have Corgi features with Sheltie hair, so Mom tells everyone (tongue in cheek) that I am a "rare European Long Haired Corgi". I get along great with my adopted brother, Bailey, and we play a lot in the backyard. My new best friend is a fleece stuffed duckie named "Webster" and I carry him everywhere. I am a little worried about Webster, though ... he's lost a lot of weight since he started being my best buddy. Mom says I have loved the stuffing out of him, literally.

When I play outside, I am a great nature lover - I chase birds in flight, tree squirrels, and track butterflies. The butterflies are pretty, so I just tag along behind and watch them fly, but the squirrels are my favorite - when they run up a tree, I try really hard to climb the tree with them. Mom laughs until she cries, and says one of these days she's going to have to call the fire department to get me down out of the tree.

I love my new family and my new home. It's great, and Mom really spoils me - I never had Frosty Paws before, but now I'm hooked. Mom gives me one for a bedtime snack every night, and I won't let her fall asleep without remembering it.
