Shelby was adopted by Laura White of Old Fort, NC.
Foster Mom Louise Glogau writes:
Shelby came to us with the new spring - a reminder of youth. She had been surrendered by a family that had kept her tied up outside. Despite her earlier human disappointments, she greeted all new people with enthusiasm (putting it mildly!) The kids in the neighborhood adored her and lobbied hard for my keeping her.She loved to play and would take toys in her mouth and shake them. I would have named her Goldilocks for her blond coat and honey gold eyes. Unfortunately, my 9 year old sheltie and 11 year old cat did not share my adoring feelings.Even so I planned to keep her. But then the perfect household applied with all Shelby needed - kids and another young Sheltie to play with, as well as folks who were experienced with Shelties. She is so happy in her new home with all her playpals. I miss her but am grateful for the love and liveliness she shared with us.
